Every woman is different. Our swimsuits are too.

Every woman is different. Our swimsuits are too.

When shopping for a swimsuit, we often think we are choosing a style.

But in reality, we are sometimes choosing something else.

An image, a silhouette.

An idealized version of who we would like to be.

One phrase often heard in the swimwear industry sums it up well:

“They don’t want the swimsuit, they want the body.”

It’s a reflection that often makes us smile at SELFISH, because it is surprisingly true.

We see a swimsuit worn by a model or an influencer and immediately imagine ourselves in her place. Yet what draws us in is not always the swimsuit itself, but the way it is presented.

The issue is that no woman has the exact same body, the same needs, or the same lifestyle.

That is why we believe it is important to stop consuming only with our eyes.

A swimsuit can look beautiful in a photo and still not meet what you are truly looking for.

This is also why trying on different styles is so important.

Trying on different pieces often helps break down the ideas we had built in our minds. The swimsuit we thought we wanted is not always the one in which we feel our best.

Sometimes we realize we need more support.

Sometimes, more coverage.

Sometimes, simply a style that makes us feel free and comfortable.

The real question is therefore not:

“What is the most beautiful swimsuit?”

But rather:

“What truly works for me?”

At SELFISH, we design our pieces around this reflection.

This is why several of our styles are adjustable, allowing each woman to customize the fit according to her body.

It is also why we offer reversible styles, providing more versatility and different ways to wear the same swimsuit.

Because in the end, there is no single perfect swimsuit for everyone.

There is simply a swimsuit that meets your needs, your reality, and the way you want to feel when you wear it.

After all, it is not up to you to adapt to the swimsuit.

It is up to the swimsuit to adapt to you.
